Jamaica Teeters on the Brink....

'Bun Down'? TTP. These people involved are either gangsters or associated with gangsters. They are 'irredeemable'. Some innocents may die in the crossfire or from the stress of heart attacks but they also do not count because they are the poor, the lumpen, the uneducated, the dirty, the unwashed. They are the stupid eediats who are only needed at election time. However, incidents like these make bad press and ridicule the idea of the rejuvenation of downtown for the benefit of wealthy real estate and business interests. Why won't these people behave so that the raping of Jamaica's resources by the political establishment and the economic elite can continue undisturbed? This bad press also is bad for tourism. We can't have that. These 'undesirables' live and operate below HWT so they do not matter to the corrupt political establishment or the economic elite...'Dem have too much pickney anyway'. It's not sustainable but 'Sen soldja an mek dem hol dem cawna fi awhile'...We just don't care...We have a surplus of people. 'Hang dem' if necessary. They are disposable....THAT is our current attitude. What we do not realize is that a hierarchical arrangement based on keeping such large numbers of Jamaicans in poverty while a small elite prospers is not sustainable in the long run. Just look next door at Haiti...When is the 'Tipping Point'? I thought we would have reached that 'Tipping Point' by now but I was wrong. Despite the chaos, Jamaica continues to teeter on the brink without falling over...
